Mexico, January 12, 2010. The auto industry in Mexico suffered one of its worst crises in decades during 2009 by obtaining domestic market sales of 754.918 units, which represented a decline of 26.4% compared to 2008, when 1’025,520 cars were sold, said Eduardo Solis Sanchez, president of the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA) in a press conference.
In Mexico there are 150 companies in the aerospace industry which employ over 16,000 workers and look to capitalize on the opportunities offered by our country regarding the manufacture of parts such as engine components, landing gear parts, audio/video systems, harnesses and cables, and other steel, iron, and aluminum machinery parts.
